Effective date: July 20, 2026
The short version: your birth details, your chart, and every question you ask stay on your iPhone. Readings are generated by Apple's on-device intelligence — your questions are never sent to us or to any third-party AI service. AstroLife has no accounts, no analytics SDKs, no ads, and no servers of ours that receive your data.
AstroLife is an iOS astrology app developed and operated by Anshul Jain ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles and where it goes — which, in AstroLife's case, is almost nowhere.
To cast your chart, AstroLife asks for your first name, birth date, birth time (optional), and birth place. This information is stored only in the app's local storage on your iPhone. Your natal chart, transits, and compatibility results are computed mathematically on your device from that data. We operate no servers and have no ability to see, access, or recover any of it.
When you ask a question in the Thread, write a message to your future self, or read your daily reading, the written interpretation is generated by Apple's on-device intelligence (Apple Foundation Models) or by the app's built-in interpreter, entirely on your iPhone. Your questions and readings are never transmitted to us or to any third-party AI service. Your entire conversation history lives only on your device.
If you add another person's birth details to read your compatibility, those details are stored locally on your device exactly like your own, and are used only to compute the comparison you asked for. Please add other people's details only with their knowledge where appropriate.
When you search for a birth city, the app uses Apple Maps (MapKit) to find it, which sends your search text to Apple. This is the only time anything you type leaves your device, it goes to Apple (not to us), and it is governed by Apple's privacy policy. The app also ships with a built-in offline city list, used when you're offline.
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Your purchase entitlement is verified on-device through Apple's StoreKit.
Daily readings and transit follow-ups are local notifications, scheduled on your device. There is no push server. You can turn them off, or set quiet hours, in the app's Settings or in iOS Settings at any time.
Because your data lives on your device, it is protected by your passcode and iOS encryption, and it is included in your iCloud or computer backups if you have those enabled. Backups are governed by Apple's privacy policy, not by us.
Open Settings inside AstroLife and tap "Reset everything" — this erases your chart, thread, saved people, and preferences. Deleting the app from your iPhone removes everything as well. Because we hold no copy, deletion on your device is complete deletion.
AstroLife is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them — or, in fact, from anyone.
If we change this policy, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Questions? Email anshul.jainsm@gmail.com.
