Effective date: October 2, 2026
The short version: Doorway has no accounts, no servers, no analytics and no ads. Your limits and your Screen Time activity stay on your iPhone. We never receive any of it.
Doorway is an iOS app developed and operated by Anshul Jain ("we", "us"). It helps you limit your own use of the apps you choose.
Doorway uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls, Device Activity and Managed Settings) with individual authorization, which you grant on your own device. With that access Doorway can:
You can turn off Screen Time access at any time in the Settings app. Doorway then stops blocking apps.
Your limits (the app tokens, the minutes or schedule you set, any name you give a limit, Beast Mode), how many doors you have used today, and whether you finished the introduction. This is stored only on your iPhone, in Doorway's own storage. We operate no servers and cannot see, access or recover it. Deleting the app removes it.
If you allow notifications, Doorway shows local notifications on your iPhone, for example when you open a door. They are created on your device. Doorway does not use push notifications from a server.
Doorway Pro subscriptions and the one time Lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, payment details or Apple Account. The app checks what you have bought on your device using Apple's StoreKit framework. Purchases are covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Doorway is for people limiting their own device. It is not a parental control app and does not manage anyone else's device. Because Doorway sends us no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
