The short version: your documents never leave your device. InkSign has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no servers of ours. The app contains no networking code at all.
InkSign is an iOS app for signing documents, developed and operated by Anshul Jain ("we", "us").
Every document you import or scan, every signature and set of initials you draw, the details you save for autofill such as your name or address, and the certificates InkSign generates are all stored only in the app's local storage on your device. We operate no servers and have no ability to see, access, or recover any of it.
Because the data lives on your device, it is protected by your device passcode and iOS file encryption, and it is included in your device backups if you have those enabled. Backups are governed by Apple's privacy policy, not by us.
If you allow camera access, InkSign uses it for one purpose: scanning a paper document so you can sign it. Scanning uses Apple's on-device document scanner. Images are turned into a PDF on your device and saved locally. Nothing is uploaded. If you decline camera access, every other part of the app still works and you can import PDFs instead.
To show you the key details a document contains, InkSign reads its text. On a scanned document that means recognising the text in the image. This runs entirely on your device using Apple's built in text recognition. The document is never sent anywhere for processing.
InkSign Pro is sold as an auto renewing subscription through Apple. Payment, billing, and subscription management are handled entirely by Apple and are covered by Apple's privacy policy. We never see your payment details. We receive no personal information from Apple about who purchased.
InkSign is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, including children.
Deleting a document in the app removes it from your device. Deleting InkSign removes everything it stored. Because we hold nothing, there is nothing for you to request from us and nothing for us to delete on your behalf.
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new effective date.
