Effective date: July 20, 2026
The short version: your intentions, reflections, and everything Vera "remembers" stay on your iPhone. Messages are generated by Apple's on-device intelligence and are never sent to us or any third-party AI service. Vera has no accounts, no analytics SDKs, no ads, and no servers of ours that receive your data.
Vera is an iOS app developed and operated by Anshul Jain ("we", "us"): a daily intention and reflection companion.
Your intentions, evening reflections, gratitude notes, moods, the memory profile you build in onboarding (including people you name), and the Evidence Wall are stored only in the app's local storage on your iPhone. Vera's messages are generated by Apple's on-device intelligence (Apple Foundation Models) or the app's built-in engine, entirely on your device. Nothing you write is transmitted to us or to any third-party AI service.
Everything Vera holds is listed under Settings → "What Vera holds". You can edit or delete any of it, keep a "never bring up" list she must respect, or erase everything. Deleting the app removes all data; we hold no copy.
Morning and evening messages are local notifications scheduled on your device. Lock-screen previews never show your own sensitive words.
Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details.
On-device data is included in your iCloud/computer backups if enabled (governed by Apple's privacy policy). Policy updates will be posted here. Questions: anshul.jainsm@gmail.com.
