Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 17, 2026

The short version: your conversations are stored only on your iPhone. Luvora has no accounts, no analytics SDKs, and no ads. Message text is shared with an AI service only when needed to generate a companion's reply — and when on-device AI is used, nothing leaves your phone at all.

Who we are

Luvora AI: AI Friend Chat ("Luvora") is an iOS entertainment app developed and operated by Anshul Jain ("we", "us"). Luvora lets you chat and roleplay with fictional AI companions.

What's stored on your device

Your conversations, saved Memories, custom characters, profile card (the name, pronouns, age range, interests, and goal you enter during onboarding), chat scene choices, and daily-reward progress are stored only in the app's local storage on your iPhone. We operate no accounts and no user database, and we cannot see, access, or recover this data.

Because the data lives on your device, it is protected by your device passcode and iOS encryption, and it is included in your device backups if you have iCloud or computer backups enabled. Those backups are governed by Apple's privacy policy, not by us.

How AI replies are generated

Luvora generates companion replies in one of two ways, depending on your device and configuration:

On-device AI. On iPhones that support Apple Intelligence, replies can be generated entirely by Apple's on-device model. In this mode your messages never leave your phone. The app's offline demo mode is likewise fully on-device.
Cloud AI. When cloud AI is used, the text of the current conversation and your profile card are transmitted securely (over HTTPS) to our AI provider, Anthropic, solely to generate the companion's reply. This data is processed under Anthropic's privacy policy; it is not used for advertising, and API conversations are not used to train Anthropic's models by default. We do not send your Apple Account, purchase, or device-identifier information with these requests.

Conversations are never used for advertising, sold, or shared with anyone else.

What we do not do

We do not require or offer accounts, logins, or registration.
We do not use analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or attribution SDKs.
We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not use identifiers for tracking.
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information.

Purchases and subscriptions

Luvora Premium subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, payment details, or Apple Account information. The app checks your subscription status on-device using Apple's StoreKit framework. Purchases are subject to Apple's privacy policy.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, Luvora schedules local reminders on your device. These are generated on your iPhone; no notification data leaves your device.

Deleting your data

You can clear any conversation from its chat menu, delete saved Memories and custom characters in the app, and permanently remove all locally stored data by deleting the app from your device (subject to any device backups you keep).

Adults only; wellbeing

Luvora is for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children; we collect no data from children. Companions are fictional AI characters — they are not real people and are not a substitute for professional advice, therapy, or crisis support. If you are struggling, please contact local emergency services or a crisis line such as 988 (US Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
