How is the BiteScore calculated? It combines barometric pressure trend, wind, cloud cover, temperature, precipitation, and the solunar major/minor feeding periods, weighted for the species you chose. Tap the score to see the top factors driving it.
Does the AI Coach use the internet? No. The coach runs entirely on your iPhone using Apple Intelligence. Your questions never leave your device. On devices without Apple Intelligence it falls back to on-device rule-based tips.
Why does the app need my location? Only to fetch the weather forecast for the water you're fishing, via Apple WeatherKit. You can also search for and pick your water manually instead.
Where is my data stored? Entirely on your device (and your own private iCloud, if enabled). BiteWindow has no accounts and no servers — deleting the app deletes your data.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription? Subscriptions are handled by Apple: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → BiteWindow Pro. You can also use Restore Purchases inside the app (Settings tab) on a new device.
Can I get a refund? Refunds for App Store purchases are issued by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Is BiteWindow a substitute for fishing regulations? No. BiteWindow is informational only — always follow your local regulations, seasons, and limits.
