The short version: Firstframe does not collect your data. Your baby's name, dates, photos and milestones stay on your device. There is no account, no server, no analytics, no tracking and no ads, and nothing about your child is ever sent to us or used to train anything.
Firstframe is an iOS app that helps parents follow their baby's development windows, record milestones with photos, and share milestone cards. It is developed and operated by Anshul Jain ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles and how.
Your child's name, birth or due date, the domains you choose to follow, every milestone you log, your notes, and any photos you attach are stored only in the app's local database on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData. They are never transmitted to us. We operate no servers and have no ability to see, access, or recover them. Deleting a child removes their records, and deleting the app removes everything.
When you attach a photo to a milestone, Firstframe uses Apple's own photo picker, which hands the app only the images you specifically choose. The app never gains access to your photo library as a whole. Photos you attach are copied into the app's local storage on your device. Milestone cards you export are written only where you send them, by you.
On supported iPhones, Firstframe can tailor a daily activity suggestion using Apple's on-device foundation model, running locally through the Foundation Models framework. The model only ever chooses between wording options we wrote in advance; it cannot invent an activity. Your child's first name and age are used locally to shape that wording and never leave your device. There is no cloud AI service, no API key and no third-party model provider. On devices without Apple Intelligence, the app simply uses the pre-written wording.
Firstframe Pro is sold as an auto-renewing monthly or annual subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase, processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, payment details, or Apple Account information. The app checks your purchase status on-device using Apple's StoreKit framework. Purchases are subject to Apple's privacy policy.
If you allow notifications, Firstframe schedules reminders locally on your device: a gentle heads-up before a new development window opens, and, if you start a free trial, one reminder before it ends. There is no push server and we never send you messages. You can turn reminders off at any time in iOS Settings or in the app.
Firstframe is designed for and directed at parents and caregivers, not children. It is not in the Kids Category and contains no content intended for a child to use. Although the app is about a child, it collects no personal information from anyone, because it collects no personal information at all: everything a parent records stays on that parent's own device.
The milestones, windows and activities in Firstframe are educational and informed by public developmental guidance, including the CDC's "Learn the Signs. Act Early." materials. They describe typical month ranges, not deadlines, and the app does not screen for, assess, or diagnose any condition. Always talk to your pediatrician about your child's development.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
