Rested

Terms of Use

Effective date: July 12, 2026

These terms apply to the Rested iOS app, developed and operated by Anshul Jain ("we", "us"). By using Rested you agree to these terms and to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).

What Rested is — and is not

Rested tracks and estimates your sleep using your iPhone's motion sensors, optional microphone analysis, and optional Apple Health data. All figures the app shows — including the Sleep Score, sleep stages, and snore detection — are estimates for general wellness purposes only. Rested is not a medical device, does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified physician about sleep or health concerns. Do not disregard professional advice because of something the app showed you.

Subscriptions and purchases

Your data

Your sleep data is stored on your device and belongs to you. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture. You are responsible for keeping device backups if you want your data to survive the loss of your phone.

Acceptable use

Don't reverse-engineer the app, misuse it, or use it in violation of applicable law. The app and its content (excluding your data) remain our intellectual property.

Warranty and liability

Rested is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Overnight tracking depends on device conditions (battery, placement, interruptions by iOS) that we cannot guarantee. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app; our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the preceding 12 months.

Changes

We may update these terms; the effective date above will change and material updates will be noted in release notes. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
