Terms of Use
RemoteNest for Android. Effective date: October 31, 2026
These Terms of Use cover RemoteNest for Android ("RemoteNest", "the app"), published on Google Play by Anshul Apps ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app you agree to them, so please read them carefully.
1. What RemoteNest is
RemoteNest turns your phone into a remote for supported smart TVs and streaming devices on your Wi-Fi network, and casts the photos and videos you choose to TVs that support DLNA. It works with Samsung, LG and Roku, and in beta with Sony Bravia and Amazon Fire TV. Demo mode lets you try the controls on a virtual TV inside the app.
2. Free, with ads
RemoteNest is free to download and use, with every feature included, and it is supported by ads from Google AdMob. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions. We do not control the content of individual ads and are not responsible for the products or services they promote. How ads use information is described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Your license
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Android devices you own or control. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it. The app and its content remain our property.
4. Your TV and your network
RemoteNest is not made, endorsed or supported by Samsung, LG, Roku, Sony, Amazon or any other TV maker, and the brand names are used only to say which devices the app works with. Whether a TV can be found and controlled depends on its model, software and settings, and on your Wi-Fi network, none of which we control. TV makers can change or turn off the features the app relies on at any time. Control only TVs and devices that you own or are allowed to use.
5. Acceptable use
- Use the app only for lawful purposes.
- Cast only photos and videos that you have the right to show.
- Do not interfere with the ads, for example by tapping ads you are not interested in or by using automated systems.
- Do not try to interfere with the app, other people's devices or the networks the app runs on.
6. Third party services
The app relies on services run by others: Google Play, and Google AdMob and its consent form. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to them. We are not responsible for their availability, and a feature that depends on one may stop working if that service changes or stops.
7. Disclaimer
RemoteNest is provided "as is" and as available, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise that the app will be free of errors or always available, that it will find, connect to or control any particular TV, or that casting will work with any particular TV or file.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of the app. Because you pay nothing for the app, our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of zero and the amount the applicable law requires.
9. Changes
We may update the app and these terms. When the terms change, the new version appears on this page with a new effective date. If you keep using the app after a change, the new terms apply.
10. Termination
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. If you break these terms, your right to use the app ends. We may stop offering the app at any time.
11. Google Play
You download the app from Google Play, and the Google Play Terms of Service also apply to your download and use of it. Google is not responsible for the app or for these terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. We will first try to resolve any dispute informally; if that fails, disputes will be submitted to the courts of India.
13. Severability
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in full force and effect.
