A document scanner that reads the page, titles it, files it, and lets you find it from your Home Screen — entirely on your iPhone.

Every other scanner runs text recognition on your page, shows you a Copy button, then saves the file as 2024-05-22 00:45:29. Sift uses what it just read to name the document for you.

What it does

Titles itself. Scan a receipt and it saves as "Blue Bottle Coffee — Receipt — Mar 2026", not a timestamp.
Files itself. Sift works out whether it's a receipt, bill, ID, contract, medical record, or tax document, and categorizes it for you.
Findable from your Home Screen. Swipe down, type a word from inside the document, and it's there. Every scan is indexed into Spotlight.
Real searchable PDFs. Exports carry an invisible text layer, so the text is selectable and searchable in Preview, Acrobat, and Files.
Scan from anywhere. "Scan with Sift" works from Siri, Shortcuts, the Action Button, and Control Center.
Nothing leaves your phone. No servers. No account. No network calls. No tracking prompt — because there's nothing to track you with.

Unlimited scanning, unlimited pages, text recognition, automatic titling, automatic filing, search, Spotlight, and PDF export — free forever, no limits, no watermark. It all runs on your device, so it costs nothing to serve, so we don't meter it.

Sift Pro adds sync & backup, expiry reminders, batch tools, text export, and password-protected PDFs. You'll only ever be asked about it after you've already exported something real.
